Hello Tumblees and Tumblettes and Tweets. Testing Out My New Widget For Mackbook Pro OSX Lion!

I sent my Samson GT Studio speakers off the last week of March 2012, they recieved them on April 2nd.  I just got them back today May 2, 2012.

I reported that the Clip lights stay on with or without audio being played though the speakers. Sent an email to Samson, got my RA number about two days later and sent them off.

Here was their response on the Service performed:

Blemishes on Unit. Tested thoroughly to spec., Unit tested ok. No problems found with the unit. Unit was looked at by 2 techs.

Samson, are you serious…stop the nonsense. Here is my response below with a detailed use case scenario:

 Just got my speakers back today via FedEx and I have a big problem. The details and use case for the condition of my speakers are listed below:

 Audio Playback Setup:

Macbook Pro 15” (1)

Y-Cable by Belkin (2)

USB 2.0 Cable (1)

Samson Studio GT Speakers

 Use Case:

With only the right side of the speaker hooked up; ran “Y-Cable” from headphone jack of the Macbook Pro to input side L&R of Right Side Speaker.

 Audio playing from Serato Scratch Live Software

Audio plays good and then the sound quality slowly diminishes; becoming distorted. Speaker “Level” button is at 12 O’clock on Studio GT’s; volume is at half way on the Macbook Pro.

 Both clip lights come on after .51 seconds of audio play.

This happens for both belkin Y-cables

This happens also when the USB cable is used

 This happens with the volume turned all the way down on the Studio GT’s with both a USB & Y-cable connection with the audio playing.

 This happens with the volume turned all the way down on the Studio GT’s with both the USB & Y-cable connected with no audio playing.

 This happens with the volume turned all the way down on the Studio GT’s with no connections hooked up; only power turned on.

 The same conditions above existed the first time I reported my problem to you; now I have decided to take the extended time to develop the above use case to provide substantial detail into what is going on.

 There is no way I can believe that two Techs looked at my speakers and found nothing wrong with the above noted from the simple use case described above; no mixing board was in play.  Please help, I hold this company in high regard when it comes to Audio Components but now that is going to be very hard to do when I receive my Studio GT’s back from you guys with handwritten notes stating that two Techs looked at them and found nothing wrong.

 The same conditions above existed the first time I reported my problem to you; now I have decided to take the extended time to develop the above use case to provide substantial detail into what is going on.

 Your expedited handling of this situation is greatly welcomed and appreciated.
